This summary is for convenience — the full terms below are what apply.
WHO WE ARE
Boltreel is a brand of Social Dev Technologies, a company registered in Nigeria (“Boltreel”, “we”, “us”). These terms apply whenever you order, pay for or receive work from us, whether through this website or on WhatsApp. By placing an order, you agree to them.
Our official contact for orders, questions and notices is our WhatsApp line, +234 703 270 2820.
WHAT WE MAKE
We produce short-form video ads and social content from your brief and materials. We use digital and AI-assisted production tools to create realistic scenes, so no shoot is needed unless you choose to send your own footage. Each option on our pricing page lists its length, formats, turnaround and revision rounds, and those details form part of your order.
HOW AN ORDER WORKS
You share your brief and materials. We send a script and storyboard for your approval, then produce the video and send a watermarked preview. You request any changes within your revision rounds, and we deliver the final files once the video is approved and paid for. Turnaround starts when you approve the script and we have the materials we need; if materials or feedback arrive late, the delivery date moves by the same amount.
PAYMENT
Prices are in naira. Payment is by bank transfer, or through our payment processor where available. Orders under ₦95,000 are paid in full to start. Orders of ₦95,000 or more are paid in two halves: 50% to start, and 50% when you approve the finished video, before we release the final files. Monthly plans are paid in advance at the start of each month; prepaying 3 months gives 10% off.
If a payment is late, we pause work until it arrives. If Boltreel is required to charge VAT, it will be shown on your invoice. Quotes are valid for 14 days. Because some of our production costs are priced in foreign currency, we review prices every quarter; monthly plans get at least 30 days' notice of any change.
REVISIONS & APPROVAL
A revision round covers changes to timing, text, music, voiceover and colour, and swapping up to two shots. Please send each round's feedback in one message. A new concept, a new script direction or a different product counts as a new order. Extra rounds cost ₦15,000 for an Edit Pack, Product Motion or Product Spotlight and ₦35,000 for a Signature Ad; larger projects are quoted. If we don't hear from you within 5 business days of sending a preview, the video counts as approved. Our promise: if the finished video doesn't match the script and storyboard you approved, we fix it at no cost.
RUSH DELIVERY
Rush delivery costs 50% of the order price and gets most orders done in about half the usual time. It depends on our capacity, so we confirm it before you pay, and it isn't available for Cinematic Commercials. If we miss a rush deadline we've confirmed, we refund the rush fee.
MONTHLY PLANS
Each plan includes the videos listed for it every month. Unused videos don't roll over to the next month. You can move to a different plan between months, and you can cancel by giving us 14 days' notice before your next billing date.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
If you cancel before production starts, we refund your payment minus any payment-processing fees. Once production has started, payments can't be refunded, because the production costs have already been spent — but we'll still finish and deliver your video. If we can't deliver what we agreed, or we decline your brief before starting, you get a full refund. Nothing in these terms affects your rights under Nigerian consumer protection law.
YOUR MATERIALS & CLAIMS
You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, everything you send us — photos, logos, music, footage, names and trademarks — and that anyone who can be identified in your materials has agreed to their image or voice being used. Tell us if anything is confidential or not yet released. You're responsible for the accuracy of your product details and prices, and for being able to back up any claim your ad makes, such as health, performance, “No. 1” or before-and-after claims.
PEOPLE, VOICES & TESTIMONIALS
We don't recreate real people — including celebrities, public figures or anyone's look or voice — without their documented permission. We don't present generated characters as real customers giving reviews; testimonials must come from real customers, in their own words, with their permission. For ads aimed at Nigeria we use Nigerian-looking cast and Nigerian voices by default, and you approve casting in the storyboard.
AD APPROVALS & PLATFORM RULES
Adverts shown in Nigeria may need approval before they're published — from the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) for adverts in general, including on social media, and from NAFDAC for food, drinks, cosmetics, drugs and similar products, as well as other regulators in sectors like finance and betting. Getting these approvals before you publish is your responsibility. We'll provide the script and storyboard they ask for, and we can prepare your vetting documents for ₦20,000 plus the official fees. You're responsible for any fines or penalties that result from publishing without approval.
Ad platforms such as Meta, TikTok and YouTube have their own rules, including labels for content made with AI tools; following them when you post is your responsibility. A platform rejecting an ad isn't a fault in the video, but we'll make reasonable changes within your revision rounds to help it get approved.
WHAT WE WON'T MAKE
We don't make ads that are illegal, hateful, sexual, or misleading; that promote unlicensed gambling or betting, scams, Ponzi or “get rich quick” schemes, or unlicensed investments; that promise miracle cures or unapproved medical results; that impersonate someone; or that are political campaign adverts. We can stop work if a brief turns out to be one of these. If that happens before production starts, you get a full refund.
OWNERSHIP & USAGE
Once you've paid in full, you can use the delivered videos on any channel, for as long as you like, with no usage fees, and we transfer to you whatever rights we hold in them. Because parts of each video are created with digital production tools, we can't guarantee that no similar visuals will ever be made for someone else, or that every element can be registered as copyright. Music and stock elements come with licences that we pass on to you. Drafts, prompts, project files and unused material stay with us unless we agree otherwise.
OUR PORTFOLIO
We only show your work publicly with your permission. The one exception is the launch pilot: joining it includes permission to showcase your pilot video (see below).
CONFIDENTIALITY & THE TOOLS WE USE
We keep your unreleased products, plans and materials confidential and use them only for your project. To produce and deliver your videos, your materials are processed by trusted third-party production and hosting services, some of which may use content to improve their services. If something is confidential, tell us before you send it so we can agree how it's handled. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
FILES & STORAGE
We keep your final files for 90 days after delivery, so please download and back them up. After that, we may delete them.
RESULTS
We make every ad to perform, but we can't guarantee sales, views, followers or a return on your ad spend.
OUR LIABILITY
Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We're not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, ad spend or missed opportunities. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO US
You agree to cover any loss, fine or claim we face because of materials you gave us, claims made in your ad at your request, your publishing an ad without the approvals it needed, or your breaking these terms.
DELAYS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL
Power or internet outages, outages at the production services we rely on, public holidays or regulator action can delay work. We'll keep you updated and deliver as soon as we can. If a delay runs past 14 days, you can cancel and we'll refund any work that hasn't started.
ENDING WORK
We can pause or end work if a payment isn't made, these terms are broken, or our team is treated abusively. You pay for the work done up to that point.
DISPUTES
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If something goes wrong, message us first and give us 14 days to put it right. If we still can't agree, we will try mediation at the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse before either of us goes to the courts of Lagos State.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these terms. Orders you've already paid for follow the terms in place when you placed them.
LAUNCH PILOT (NOV–DEC 2026)
- Each of the 15 pilot businesses receives one free 15-second realistic product video (a Product Spotlight) with 1 revision round, and can use it freely once delivered.
- The ₦5,000 deposit holds your slot. It's credited in full toward any Boltreel order you place by 31 January 2027. If you don't place an order, it helps cover the cost of making your video and isn't refunded.
- If we cancel your slot or can't deliver your video, we refund the deposit in full.
- Send your product photos and details by the date agreed on your strategy call. If you miss the strategy call twice without notice, or don't send materials within 14 days, your slot is released to the next business and the deposit is kept.
- By joining, you allow Boltreel to show your pilot video, business name and logo in our portfolio and on social media. Testimonials are optional and only ever in your own words.
- The rest of these terms — including materials, approvals and ownership — apply to the pilot too.
