Boltreel is a brand of Social Dev Technologies, a company registered in Nigeria. Social Dev Technologies is responsible for the personal information collected through this website and our WhatsApp channel, and handles it in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. WHAT WE COLLECT
When you contact us or submit a brief, we collect the details you give us: your name, business or brand name, WhatsApp number, email address, the plan you're interested in, and the content of your brief along with any reference links or materials you share.
HOW WE USE IT
We use your information only to respond to you, produce and deliver your videos, handle revisions, and manage billing for your plan or package. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
YOUR BRAND MATERIALS
Product photos, logos, and other materials you send remain yours. We use them solely to produce the work you commissioned. We will never publish your finished videos, brand assets, or a quote from you as a case study or testimonial without your explicit permission. Joining our launch pilot includes that permission for your pilot video, as set out in the pilot terms.
SHARING
We share information only with the service providers we need to run Boltreel — our website host and database, form handler, payment processor (Paystack), messaging platform, and the third-party production tools we use to create your videos — and only as much as each needs. Some of these providers are based outside Nigeria, so your information may be processed abroad. Some production tools may use uploaded content to improve their services, so please tell us before sending anything confidential. We may disclose information if required by law.
BUSINESSES WE CONTACT
We sometimes introduce Boltreel to businesses using the contact details they publish for enquiries — for example on their Instagram page or Google listing. We only contact them about our video services, we record where we found their details, and we never message a business more than three times without a reply. If you'd rather not hear from us, just say so and we'll stop straight away and keep only enough to make sure we don't contact you again. Details of businesses that don't reply are deleted after 90 days. We only send tips and offers on WhatsApp to people who ask for them.
RETENTION
We keep your contact details, briefs and materials for up to 12 months after your last project, then delete them, unless the law requires us to keep something longer (such as payment records). Final video files are kept for 90 days after delivery. You can ask us to delete your details and materials sooner at any time.
YOUR CHOICES
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can request a copy of what we hold, ask for corrections, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent you gave. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Message us on WhatsApp and we'll handle it.
